“Do you remember when…” Mike began, slumping down so his head rested against Will’s, “you were possessed by the mind flayer? You were so scared, and we were so young. We were sitting together in my basement, and I promised you that if you went crazy, we’d go crazy together?”
Will wanted to cry. Of course he remembered that. It was the first time he could point to where he’d realized he didn’t just want to be Mike’s friend. He’d been too young to really identify or understand the feeling at that time, but he had known something had shifted. And he’d almost deluded himself into thinking Mike felt it too.
“I remember,” Will admitted.
Mike sighed slowly, like he was letting go of something. Will prayed that it wasn’t him.
“I meant it, you know,” Mike said. “I’d have followed you anywhere then. I still would.”

The party attends their first "big-kid" Halloween party, dressed as their DND characters. Hijinks ensue, byler happens, and Robin loves Nancy.

Kept giving me chills.
Intoxicated Mike is a sweetheart.
Will probably thinks he’s losing his mind. (Going crazy… together.)
Jonathan unintentionally interrupts them.
I’m not a Steddie/ Ronance person, but they aren’t overpowering.
I imagined it as them being 16-17, but it must be from… late Gr. 9, since Nancy, Robin and Jonathan are there? Wait, if Jonathan is there, how come he didn’t drive Will? -

Summary
One thing leads to another and suddenly Mike's lips are on Will's. He's not really sure how they got here. Seriously, why would either of them agree to this in the first place? But here he is. Kissing Will.
Mike doesn't think kissing him is supposed to feel this good.
This takes place in Season 3 after the whole Starcourt situation and before the Byers (and El) leave Hawkins.

Mike teaching Will about kissing while probably doing more learning than teaching in the process.
S3. Written very… kindly? Gently? Felt right for their ages but doesn’t make much sense in the plot of the Seasons. Oh well.
