Summary
After a scouting mission at an energon deposit turns into a scuffle with some Decepticons, Smokescreen is accidentally teleported away by a ground bridge summoned by Soundwave. He wakes up to find himself in the middle of nowhere with his comms offline, and, to make matters worse, an injured Soundwave is there with him, now unable to summon ground bridges. The two are forced to work with each other to make it back to their respective lives and factions as the strange effects of the haywire ground bridge start to make themselves known. Sticking together may be the last thing they want to do, but it may prove to be the key to their survival; misery acquaints a mech with strange bedfellows, after all.

"This is amazing," Krobus says, sounding embarrassed, "I don't think you realize what a gift like this means for my people."
"What do you mean?"
"It's just-It's a great honor," he says, not wanting to meet your eyes.
"Whatever it means to you, Krobus, I'm sure I mean it that way. You mean everything to me."
"Well, It means-It means you want to be my mate," he says shyly.
"I do," you say without hesitation, "I've thought of you as my mate for a while now."

Does anyone else feel bad killing shadow people after having Krobus as a roommate?
I saw one on my farm last night and thought it was Krobus before an automatic defensive attack struck the creature dead with one blow. It was jarring after having thought it was my friend a moment earlier. I went back to my house and gave Krobus extra hugs, but it got me thinking about what he would say if I told him about it. Would he be mad at me for killing one of his kind? Or would he be understanding?
Will we ever do more than just hug?
