Bryan thinks on those twisted words. They bundle themselves up, cosy in his ear. What does he deserve?
And the warmth of Leon’s hand is an unmistakable fire beneath his skin. Where his fingertips had drug across is a trickle of electricity all the way down his spine, lingering in the dimples at his back. But it just as soon runs cold as Leon quickly pulls his hand away.
He leaves Bryan like that, in the bitter silence, his head full of thoughts but resting in a brilliantly soft pillow.

Grace snapped herself out of her detrimental train of thought, fingers digging into the flesh of her thighs. Swallowing past the tightness in her throat, she focused her eyes back onto Hunnigan. Before she could spiral again, Grace pushed for clarification, "I-if he's fine, then…?"
Hunnigan studied her for a few seconds, giving her time to recompose herself—almost long enough to make Grace start fidgeting—before she answered, "He's been compromised by his own instincts."
Grace blinked, taking a moment to process the sentence. Once she did, her eyes widened in disbelief. "He's—he's gone feral?"
