In the cold september of 2008 gerard keays mother mary keay took 1 too many pain killers while skinning her self in a ritualistic suicide attempt to bind herself to her lifes work. Years later in 2013 the same women haunts a home. A man wakes up from a coma and the narrative changes.
Gerard keay was not saved, he didnt die, this changes alot.

“MICHAEL DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE!” Gerry yelled and started running to the living room, but it was too late, the door had closed, leaving behind an empty wall and no signs of Michael by the time he stood in his living room, an empty coffee cup in hand.
And just with his luck he heard a sleepy voice say, “Wha- Who the heck are you?”
He turned around and saw the blood covered kid on his couch sitting up and rubbing their eyes.
“Gerard or Gerry. Who the heck are you?” Gerry snapped back. He was so done with this morning.
.also known as: Gerard Keay found Michael and a bloody kid on his couch, the former of which just dissapeared, leaving him to take care of a (very likely autistic) 11 year old. The kid is very weird and he's so done with this bullshit that he just accepts having to take care of a child. What else would he do? Leave the kid to die?
