Being God is a bit like riding a bicycle. You never really forget how to do it, but picking it up again after you simply relaxed for a while can be a bit difficult. Regardless, you do not forget how to create.
In this specific situation, God is creating something She has not created in a while.
A being that grows on Her a little too much.

Hello, I am sobbing, actually.
I am ugly-crying.I have approximately 466258 emotions, all of them about The Son, The Boy, The Baby: Sizhui.
The complicated feelings, the heartache, the love that's present.This author has the Wangxian family dynamics down to a t and I love how they write the character interactions and the dialogue.
It was so cathartic and heartwarming and heartfelt and soft and sad and lovely.
Can only recommend you read this.

Something smells so good. Wei Ying closes his eyes, already feeling sleepy, and tries to identify where the scent is coming from. He turns his face to one side and then the other, chasing it, until his nose touches Lan Zhan’s cheek.
He pulls back quickly, not freaking out, because it’s fine. He touched Lan Zhan’s cheek with his nose, and Lan Zhan smells really fucking good, and they’re lying down together on a very soft bed because Lan Zhan is too drunk to let go of him, and Lan Zhan is gay but Wei Ying isn’t, and it’s fine.
Wei Ying swallows hard and closes his eyes again.

Wei Ying helps Lan Zhan out of an uncomfortable situation, and they grow close right away, becoming instant friends. To Lan Zhan, they become instant something else. With time, they only get closer and closer, and Wei Ying is forced to deal with his own feelings about Lan Zhan, and his perception of his own sexuality.
