“You—” She grits her teeth, then for good measure slams her other hand to the other side of the wall, too. Human bones would’ve probably cracked with it. “Need I remind you about a certain Harbinger who was always bypassing your stupid proper procedures, or has it finally been long enough without him around stinking up the place that you’ve forgotten?”

Summary
Frozen winds always swept upon the frosted grounds of the wild lands. A poor center of land where those longing for life struggle to keep it. The cost of living rises every sunrise, and that can lead to desperate moments. Mora is Mora, dirty or not. To live is to live and to die is to not. The cold frozen dust that falls from the snowy clouds has long since taught me red looks best next to white. And to be the one who splashes the red onto the snow is better than the alternative outcome. To be the red on the snow.

Summary
Following the Irminsul incident, though everyone believes him dead, Dottore is very much alive.
Granted, he faces a slight problem: specifically, the fact that he is trapped in the body of an eight-inch lizard.He needs to find a way back to Snezhnaya and his human body, something Pantalone could easily help him with - had he actually bothered to let him in on this plan, too. As it stands, however, he is forced against his will to play the part of an innocent little reptile, all while slowly realizing that his colleague might have held him in much higher regard all along than he ever could have imagined.
~~~~~~~~~~
Or. Some post-canon fix-it romcom drama where Dottore is trapped in the body of a lizard, Pantalone becomes an oblivious (and very obsessed) pet-owner, and a lot of dignity gets lost along the way while the mutual pining only gets worse.Bookmarked by Fremice
Summary
"You can't be serious about wanting to treat me. You? Treating me?" For the first time, genuine, unfiltered disbelief crept into Dottore's amused voice.
"Will you stop mocking me for one damn second?" Columbina snapped, her voice striking the metal plates with such force that the Doctor nearly flinched. "No matter what an asshole you are, I never wanted to kill you!"
The man was genuinely stunned. He had never heard his former little dove sound so raw and furious, and he certainly had never imagined that Columbina even knew—or would ever use—a word like "asshole." For a moment, the shock completely silenced his cynicism.Or: After the battle in Nod-Krai, Columbina accidentally comes across a dying Prime Dottore and, for reasons she doesn't fully understand herself, saves his life.
Summary
The ball had been underway for about an hour before he caught his first glimpse of her. He was off to the side, chatting with his parents and Astoria, who was preening under all of the attention she had received as the newly announced, future Mrs. Draco Malfoy. Granger was standing across the dancefloor, with her back to him, engaged in conversation with Potter and some higher-up from the Ministry, her wild curls making her instantly recognizable. She was wearing a golden evening dress – like the Gryffindor queen that she was – a Muggle fashion that showcased her curves. Even from behind, without seeing her face, she was practically stopping his heart she was so gorgeous. And then she turned around and he thought his heart might have actually stopped for a moment.
Granger was pregnant.
Granger was noticeably pregnant. Probably around five months pregnant. Which meant that she had been pregnant the night that they had ended things, three months ago. The night that she had confirmed that she was exclusively sleeping with him, and had been exclusive with him for the preceding several years.
Granger was pregnant, with his child.
Shame.
What an inconsequential word. It rolled off the tongue with little effort. Izuku had heard all possible thoughts involving shame, but he'd never felt shame. He's never been ashamed of himself. Izuku had never once bothered to let a silly thing like shame sink into his bones. He couldn't afford it. Survival was paramount, and sometimes, one had to do many shameful things to get by when life only handed you heartache and hatred.
There was no time to worry about the shame of all he'd had to do just to get through another day,
even if Izuku knew in the depths of his aching chest,
he was lying to himself.
