When frost giants attack the city of Bryn Shander in 1491, Ed and Holga make the decision to take Kira and make the perilous journey south to Mornbryn's Shield, where they hope to start a new life away from the unpredictable Ten Towns and the memory of Edgin's wife. Along the way they meet a paladin of Ilmater who agrees to escort them as far as Mirabar, setting off a chain of events that will have Ed questioning his beliefs, evaluating his relationship with his daughter, and perhaps even let him heal enough to finally find happiness again.

“I’ll take it under advisement,” Geralt said with a small smile.
AKA- Geralt has no intention of getting involved with breaking a curse and naturally ends up very involved.

It was Eskel’s idea. It had to be really. The number of people who could seriously suggest to the two of them that Lambert pretend to be Geralt’s mount in a sexually submissive way, and then actually have that suggestion acted on, was exactly one. Lambert would have decked anyone else out of hand before even considering it, but Eskel? Eskel, who knew them both so well, who shared his own kinks with them playfully when they all fell into bed together, who seemed to want nothing more than for them all to enjoy each other? He at least owed it to Eskel to listen.

Years after the battle, Thorin and Bilbo live in Erebor, though Thorin has left the crown to Fili. In that prosperous time, they are invited to the wedding of Dorwinion's crown prince; and once on the road, Bilbo and Thorin find that they wouldn't mind seeing a little more of the world.
What was supposed to be a diplomatic mission to Rhûn brings them to distant lands, lets them walk over a sea of stars, cross the Eastern Desert, and gaze at the shores at the end of the world. Far from home they make new friends, and find that the world is wider than they thought - there are hobbits living in the east, and dwarves from Erebor that found a home there after the dragon came.
And eventually that same road also leads them home.
