While working with the Aether Foundation to stop Necrozma, Zossie notices a few things that seem…off about how Aether conducts itself, and decides to look deeper. She ends up poking her nose where she really shouldn’t have. To Dulse, it’s as if Zossie vanishes into thin air.
A couple of months later, Professor Burnet finds a girl with an otherworldly appearance washed up on the beach near her husband’s lab, clutching a Pokémon neither researcher recognizes.
And a few months after that, Moon moves to Melemele Island from the Kanto region, and meets a really weird girl on Mahalo Trail.

in the world of the ocean king, a certain statue shatters.
luckily for everyone involved, statues are repairable. they won't be the same as before, but they can be put back together.
when tetra wakes up, her body is unfamiliar, riddled with missing chunks and cracks, and her crew acts like she could shatter again if she moves wrong. she doesn't really know how to deal with her new normal.
