    “This hot tub has not been well maintained,” Rozanov complained as they stood on the deck, staring at the built-in hot tub, big enough to fit 8 people. 

    “So, you can replace it,” Shane replied patiently.

    “I will be too busy to replace the hot tub. Then I will have a long day, and I will decide to have a soak in my rancid hot tub, and then I will catch diphtheria and die.” Rozanov looked at Shane, accusatory. “You want me to die?”

    Shane looked down. The hot tub looked no more or less rancid than any other hot tub. “I don’t think you can get diphtheria from a dirty hot tub.”

    “You are doctor now?” Rozanov asked, and Shane stayed silent. 

    Shane Hollander is a realtor who works with the Ottawa Centaurs to find properties for new players.

    It happens in an instant.

    Over Ilya’s shoulder, Shane sees the doctor and Wiebe give each other a look, and in a sudden bout of impatient anxiety, Shane ends up saying the words that come to ruin everything.

    “Don’t touch me.”

    The effect is instantaneous. Ilya’s hands fly to his sides, and Shane gets a front row seat as Ilya’s heart breaks before his very eyes. Eyes dimming and lips trembling in slow, painful technicolor.

    It causes Shane’s heart to break, too, and he vows, immediately, never to see such a look cross his husband’s face again.

    OR Shane embarks on a mission to heal his husband’s heart, one PDA at a time.

    “Hey!” Ilya almost howled when Shane tried to get off him, and he clamped his hands down at the Omega’s hips, snapping out a warning growl. “Stop. We are knotted. You have to stay here, stay on me, or you will hurt us both. Stop.” 

    “Right. Fuck.” Shane dragged his hands through his hair, then down his face, “Sorry. I just– I gotta get out of here right away. Please."

    “Well, we are stuck together.” Ilya forced his voice calm, “So maybe we should talk about this?

    “No. No way. This is my actual fucking nightmare.” Shane whispered. “This is the fucking worst– I can’t–” 

    “That is rude.” The Alpha frowned. “I thought I did a good job knotting you.” 

    “Are you fucking kidding me right now?” the Omega hissed, "This isn't funny!"

    "I mean" Ilya hesitated. "Is maybe a little--"

    "ROZANOV!"
