Summary
Hunter, the former second-in-command of Emperor Belos’ Coven and the first Golden Guard to defy the emperor, feels a mix of emotions as he comes to terms with the fact that he will be living with Darius Deamonne. On one hand, Hunter is relieved to finally be free from Belos' tyranny and the cruel expectations that came with it. But on the other hand, the idea of living with Darius, someone he once saw as an enemy, is unsettling. Hunter worries that he's not ready to face such a major change, but he's determined to make a fresh start with his adopted father and a chance at a better life. As Hunter begins this new chapter of his life, he grapples with his past and the challenges that lie ahead, but with the love and support of his newfound family and friends, he's finally able to see a brighter future for himself.
