Summary
Kirk stands, dark eyes appraising Leonard, who scowls right back. He's not going to be cowed by some ruffian.
"Alright, Doctor. It seems we're in agreement. You'll stay until Spock no longer needs you."
"And after that?"
"I'll put you back where I found you." He grins, his hazel eyes sparkling, and Leonard's suddenly struck by his beauty; he can see now why all the gossip he's heard about Kirk includes a physical description. The wanted posters don't capture the intelligence in his eyes, or the warmth of his manner. He scowls to hide his discombobulation, but Kirk just laughs and claps him on the shoulder. "You're a curious man, McCoy."
Failing to fit in in a troubled frontier town, Leonard McCoy isn't quite as pissed off as he should be when he's 'kidnapped' by the outlaw James T. Kirk. Holed up in the mountains, tending to Kirk's second-in-command and partner, Spock, as well as the rest of his crew, McCoy finds himself growing dangerously close to the people he swore not to trust.

Summary
Having lived his entire life in a small town obsessed with Christmas, Jonathan has grown to resent the holiday. It doesn't help that the influx of visiting tourists staying at the Byers Bed & Breakfast for the season makes it their busiest time of year. When Nancy Wheeler arrives feeling disappointed her boyfriend is stuck in New York for their vacation, Jonathan offers to keep her company while she does all the touristy stuff. It's only supposed to be a friendly favor, but the more time they spend together, the easier it is for Jonathan to fall for her. Is it so crazy to think Nancy would be happier with him than she is with her asshole big-city boyfriend who couldn't be bothered to spend Christmas with his girlfriend?
But then Steve Harrington finally shows up, and Jonathan realizes he might've been wrong. Not only does Steve not seem like the asshole Jonathan thought he was, but he and Nancy actually look happy together. Obviously, it's time for Jonathan to face the fact that his feelings are unrequited and move on.
It'd be easier to do, probably, if Steve and Nancy would stop inviting Jonathan along on their dates.

Summary
He wonders if heaven will look like Nebraska. That perhaps heaven is more personalized than it reads in the Bible. It'll be like a dream you have when your inner-consciousness is secretly yearning for a time that's been lost. That eases his mind. Just him, alone among the birds and tall grass.
Or
Dennis Whittaker just can’t do it anymore.
