    Summary

"He tried forcing his legs to be still, because he wanted to look calm and collected like he always did. Or, well, like he did most of the time. However, it seemed that he was unsuccessful because as he reached for the doorknob, he saw that his hand was trembling as well.

A chill ran through him as he pushed the door open, surrendering himself to his teammate’s reactions."

    OR:

What would happen if Coach Wiebe didn’t come to Ilya’s house after Hollanov was outed, but instead Ilya had to go and face the team?

    Summary

Shane has thankfully never been a nervous flier.

So instead of popping a xanax like Mitty or fidgeting endlessly like Comeau (who would snap and deny it if you called him on it), Shane is pretty calmly sipping his ginger ale and quietly mulling over his break up with Rose in the terminal lounge.

    -

Or AU where the plane crash happens to Shane AND it's during the post-tuna melt era. Ilya gets a phone call.

    Summary

It’s stupid. He knows he’s being ridiculous, which honestly only makes it worse.

Shane watches Ilya laugh with his dearest friend, happy and beautiful under the pulsing lights, and hates the jealousy curling around his heart like a hissing cat. Why can’t he be normal about this?

    Or

Shane meets Svetlana and maybe has a bit of a crisis about it.

    Summary

There are no words to describe the relief Yuna feels when she sees her baby boy open his eyes for the first time after laying so still on the ice, so still in a hospital bed in Montreal General.

    --

Or: Ilya comes to visit Shane in the hospital. Yuna Hollander is very perceptive.
