Summary
It was obvious what the problem was, Tucker had thought, turning research over in his mind. The first one had been too old to adapt. Nina would have solved that problem just fine, but a fragile girl like that wouldn’t make it through the transmutation with her mind in one piece. If only he had someone—stronger. The ability to deal with trauma like an adult combined with the neuroplasticity of a child. The best of both worlds. Was such a thing possible?
When the solution hit him, he couldn’t stop himself from smiling. Nina smiled back, and he ruffled her hair. If only she knew.
Yes, it was a brilliant idea. Why hadn’t he seen it before? It had been right under his nose the whole time.
Edward Elric was the perfect candidate for becoming his next talking chimera.
This was sure to be his finest achievement yet.

Summary
Edward Elric was a sane, rational, down-to-earth person, even if a certain Colonel pretended he wasn’t. He didn’t believe in ghosts, he didn’t believe in magic or curses, and he certainly didn’t believe in the existence of other worlds.
“If the supernatural really exists,” he would often say with a smirk, smugly folding his arms, “then show me the evidence.”
One day, the universe decided to oblige him, and his life became one big Exhibit A. It’s hard enough to deal with being thrown into another universe without being forced to investigate the ghost of a king haunting his capital. Him and his big fucking mouth.
Either way, that’s the last time he ever reads something from the Alternative section.
Or:
Roy isn’t prepared to deal with finding the corpse of Edward Elric. He definitely isn’t prepared to deal with his corpse waking up a few hours later and smashing his fist into Roy’s jaw. Even in death, the Fullmetal Alchemist is a pain in his ass.

Summary
As he peered inside the small cell, his breathe caught in his throat.
Inside was a small figure lying prone, drowning in a mess of tangled, matted hair that was splayed across the floor. Golden hair. They shifted slightly to turn their head towards the door. Half-lidded dull golden eyes peered blearily at him through the open slot.
Any previous thoughts of sneaking further in were stopped in their tracks. There were only two people in the world besides himself and the Homunculus that should have those features and they were both dead.
