   Summary

   After surviving the horrors of the Trials, Thomas and the Gladers learn that the Flare was never a real epidemic—it was all an experiment by WCKD to push human limits. Rescued by the FBI and returned to the real world, Thomas is revealed to be Stiles Stilinski, but months of memory wipes and trauma leave him disconnected from his past in Beacon Hills. As he struggles with PTSD and confusion, his friends and family try to understand the depth of his suffering. However, the path to recovery is paved by an unexpected discovery.
