Newly awakened and memoryless Pearl has stumbled out of the clutches of her captors and into a world of heroes and villains, a world that while familiar, she can’t seem to remember.
Luckily Pearl isn’t interested in all that stuff anyways. She is perfectly content crashing at her new roommates’s apartment while avoiding the mysterious Watcher Corporation she’d run away from.
But her past cannot stay buried forever. The Corporation is always watching and as Pearl will find out quickly, her new roommates aren’t quite what they seem either.

“You know that doctor I just told you about? The guy stopping needless death? The one doing nothing but good? He’s missing— and not just that, he was kidnapped. The G’s are torturing him, and I need your help to rescue him, that way the Bamboozlers don’t decide to develop a sudden lust for blood again. Please, Gem, I need your help”
She wanted to decline. A normal person would have declined. A sensible, law-abiding hero would have declined. It would be so much ceasier, in every way, to decline. But she couldn’t. Even if the law said it was wrong— she needed to do what was truly right. Any true hero, a proper role model, one worth looking up to, would do the right thing no matter what any government, what society, or what anyone thinks of them. A true hero does what’s right.

Grian just was rescued from the G’s, but the fight’s not over yet. They have to stop the G’s once and for all. Grian develops powers, Gem has to choose between her life’s work and helping her family, and Pearl has to deal with the consequences of her actions, learning to atone for her mistakes

“Are you, what, actually not a part of this?” not-Dream asked, tiling his head and studying Tommy’s face, his expression. “Shoot. Guess not. Um. Okay, then.” He raised a hand, and took off his mask, revealing his face in a smooth motion that made Tommy’s heart jolt. “Nice to meet you, mysterious visitor. I’m Dream. Welcome to the Hunt.”

Or, after an accidental portal disaster, Tommy ends up on a Server far from the Dream SMP, and meets three hunters whose only objective seems to be killing Dream, and a much different version of Dream, whose only objective seems to be staying alive. Again, the other three looked between each other, then Etho’s gray eyes locked with Scott’s. Scott’s hand fidgeted a bit, but Etho simply tossed him a knowing wink.
“Well then!” He concluded, brushing a strand of silver-white hair out of his eyes. “Let’s go apprehend some criminals, shall we?”

After one of the city's most powerful villains goes missing-in-action, a string of events involving multiple factions of villains, heroes and vigilantes, the city's elites, and corrupt government members spawns a fight between every group in the city. While they spent their lives fighting each other, these groups must team up to finally recognize who the true villains of this city are.

Tommy never intended to become a Vigilante. it was a spur-of-the-moment decision, really.
at least that is what he tells himself.
now, you might be thinking;
"Tommy, why the fuck would you want to do that? That is a terrible idea."
well...maybe it was the slow build-up over time.
The build-up that started with his escape from that damned facility.
That kept growing when he realized that 'Heroes' don't really care about his little dumpster town in the corner of the entire Essempi.
that grew and grew when he realized that he seemed to be the only one who gave a fuck about his home.
The build-up that snapped when he realized he and his two friends were left to fend for themselves in a world that was littered with crime.Or
Maybe he was just bored of sitting around doing nothing. Maybe he wanted to spread his wings, y'know?
but...when you garner the attention of some of the country's top heroes, well, the excitement never ends, does it?
