A face dips down into Anakin's line of sight. His vision is fading by the second and he feels warm and nauseous. All he can make out are the eyes. Dark, with rectangular, horizontal pupils.
"Hello, General Skywalker. I've heard so much about you. We're going to get to know each other very well."
Or: Anakin and Rex get taken captive during an intel gathering mission gone wrong. This changes everything. (Mace probably has a massive, Shatterpoint induced headache.)

Summary
Bruce gets to experience the wonder years of toddlerhood with a son he’s already failed once before. He’s determined not to do it again.
Meanwhile, Dick is planning Jason’s future career in football, Tim is being force-fed soggy snacks from sticky toddler hands, Damian is already trying to teach Jason to read and tie his shoes, and Cass has become the champion of older sisters everywhere. Stephanie is very busy taking pictures for a commemorative album, of course. It’s totally not blackmail at all, Tim, c'mon, but yes obviously she'll share.
Or, the one where Jason makes a mysterious wish and ends up a toddler and maybe quite possibly and inadvertently brings his family back together. Maybe the real bonding experience was all the baby proofing we did along the way.

Jason falls asleep trying not to desperately inhale the faint scent of Dick’s cologne, trying not to play the words honey and sweetheart over and over in his head, trying not to think of Dick, shirtless in the bathroom, rolling his eyes and walking out without saying a word.
He tries an awful lot and fails anyway.
This is where it starts: the slamming of a bedroom door. Jason is twelve, and Dick hates him.

Of course, adopting in this case is technically kidnapping, but since Jason is a vampire, Dick can basically legally do whatever he wants with him.
