“Sounds exhausting.”
“It is.” Dream snuggled into Hob even more, “But I have a beautiful lover to spend time with after.”
Hob chuckled, rubbing a thumb along Dream’s cheekbone. “Always, pet.”
Dream looked up at Hob, eyes filled with reverence. And stars. There were stars in his eyes. Like very literal stars. Shining little pinpricks of light. Stars. Stars.
"Woah."
"Hm?" Dream nuzzled into Hob's hand, confused why his ministrations had stopped.
"Your eyes, they– they're stars. Like a night sky. Before the industrial revolution."

“It seems I owe you an apology. I’ve always heard it impolite to keep one's friends waiting.”
Well. Would you look at that. He smiles softly, ever hopeful, nearly certain that Hob’s offer of waiting for a hundred years would stretch to a hundred and thirty two.
"So one such as you needs friends now? Dream of the goddamned Endless wants companionship and company?”

She very nearly turned to leave, before a soft sniffle made itself heard from under the makeshift desk. Nina paused, before slowly padding closer. “Kaz? Is that you?”
She heard a shifting underneath as she crouched down to see Kaz, curled in on himself against the back panel. He glanced up at her with wet blotches under his eyes, and looked utterly mortified to have been found in that state, visibly shrinking away from her.
Nina’s demeanor shifted, gentle and decisive, “Hey, Kaz. Are you doing alright?”
Or; Kaz involuntarily regresses while Inej is out at sea, and the other crows take care of him until she returns.
