Summary
Historia’s maternal grandparents had passed away years ago, while she was still in the military. She never knew how they died and she’d prefer not to, given the shadowy corruption surrounding her family. But their farm house remained, untouched for years to come, until Historia had re-inherited it upon taking her place upon the throne and reclaiming the Reiss’ land to convert into the orphanage. Historia and Ymir had taken it upon themselves to revive the old cottage and give it new life and turn it into a home. Their home.
And soon a third member will join their budding family.

Summary
Ymir inhales deep, closing her eyes, tip of the joint glowing a vibrant orange and sizzling, and then tilts her head back to exhale towards the roof after a few seconds of pause.
Historia waits quietly for Ymir to return to the present. The brunette opens her eyes and grins. She leans forward and raises her arm towards Historia, joint pinched between her fingers.
Historia swallows, eyes darting between the offering and Ymir’s smile.
“Probably the safest space if you ever wanna give it another go. Tell me what’s eating you up, Historia Reiss.”
Pale fingers tentatively reach out and Ymir closes the hesitant distance, nestling the joint comfortably within them.

She’s uncharacteristically quiet, the motion of the waves are making her stomach churn. Unlike everybody else here, this is not her first time on a ship. Last time she was bound, blindfolded, bleeding and terrified, shivering uncontrollably despite the body heat emitting from being crammed tight into a holding cell with her fellow cult members. Whimpering on the cold wooden floor that reeked of fresh vomit, the rocking of the boat and coal fumes holding all its prisoners in a perpetual state of nausea.

Summary
Hell could be peaceful for some but cruel for others. It would burn some, leaving their skin charred and melted. Majority, it would devour, tearing skin and drinking their blood like wine.
But for a select few, it would leave them expressionless and alone under a starry blue sky with sand beneath their feet.
Ymir had been involved with Hell in more ways than one, however, love covered the violence with a gentle embrace.

“It’s a hundred and four,” she tells Reyes.
Reyes kindly ignores the wavering in her voice. “We’re gonna have to flag down a helicopter. I’m not leaving it for another day.”
“But will they—”
Sam cuts herself off. She’s so stupid, so childish, useless—
“I don’t know if they’ll let you go with her,” Reyes says. “But they’ll take better care of her than we can.”
