Summary
Pride takes a hand in hers, ascending the stairs and feeling Diavolo follow behind her. The Demon Throne is a sight to behold, and for good reason — the polished gold gleams beneath crystal chandeliers, cursed gems reflecting patterned light onto red velvet cushioning. Lucifer regards it for a moment and thinks. Royalty, such a loaded little word, a construct and not at the same time. When there is power to be held, hierarchy is inevitable; an order to the chaos of existence. But Diavolo isn’t queen in the way humans are governed by monarchs. She is Queen in that she is the only hope of salvation for every sinner to exist, and they treat her as such.
The gold beneath her fingertips is cool, but the one on her skin burns with unspoken curiosity. Her eyes slide to Diavolo’s carefully, gloved hand lifting bejewelled, satin against skin. Lucifer leans down to brush her lips against the princess’s knuckles, holding their gazes. Diavolo’s pupils dilate by a fraction.
“My Queen.” Lucifer says.

Summary
The gentle clink of ceramic pulls him from his thoughts, eyes falling on the intricately crafted mug that steams with fresh coffee. Lucifer lifts his gaze and finds possibly the most ill-suited person to serve him a beverage. He musters Diavolo with careful neutrality, clipping together the papers for later perusal.
“What is this?” He asks. Diavolo gives him a cordial smile, pushing the mug closer.
“Hell’s Coffee.”

Summary
Only three known beings of all the three realms have the power of creation—Heaven’s deity, The Reaper of Souls and The Demon Monarch. Through time and trial, the latter two would be able to bring into existence a creature that defies all known laws of birth. Lucifer has heard that The Reaper has long since used hers, but her creation is yet to be seen. None from the demonic lineage have managed the feat so far, with Diavolo holding the mantle now. Lucifer's creator is the only known being in history to have created not only multiple, but an army of angels.

She’s always thought gold to be the Sun’s domain, but in that moment, gold has never looked as beautiful as it does in molten eyes and the moon’s glow. And there, at last, Lucifer is witness to the Demon Queen’s hesitation. In the forlorn look of her gaze, the tension of her shoulders and the vulnerability that is as raw as naked flesh on bone. Lucifer’s heart is a roaring tide.
“Tell me, then, Lucifer.” Diavolo whispers, quieter than this dimension can hold. Lucifer hears regardless. “Do I not deserve to burn for my transgressions?”

Ruby's dark eyes shifted between Trick and Pickles as she answered, “I got no fucking clue, man. All I know is that we have to get her back somehow. Which is near impossible.”
Trick nodded, “yeah, I mean, even if Terry comes to his senses and wants her back at the restaurant, I doubt Nicole would take the offer.”
“But, she has to,” Pickles mumbled beside Ruby. “She’s our Nicole. She’s part of the family.”
“We know that, but she doesn’t,” Ruby told him. “Trick’s right, convincing Nicole to come back to Bistro Huddy is gonna be the most difficult part of this operation. She’s been through a lot of shit in the past and I know that the one thing that really gets to her, is when people she trusts turn their backs on her.”
