The red glow from an angry moon gleamed off the sharp edge of a strong, golden nose, and the subtle curve of gentle lips. In the next instant, the streetlight above shuttered off in a petulant show of sparks, casting the figure in total darkness—but Peter knew him, even from that small glimpse. “Adam?”
The name made the figure pause, and then that body turned fully toward him as the light above gasped with life again, buzzing with the effort of staying on. That placid golden face turned toward him.
