Summary

He blends in easily among other students, who jokingly call him the 'Campus Cryptid', collects degrees like candy, and works as a bartender, drinking the blood of customers who are rude and cruel. He moves every ten years or so, always starting over on the campus of a massive university where he can exist relatively peacefully. In his 100 years of life, he has never found true friendship or love, and has never told his secrets to another person, but after Neil Josten, the school's star exy player has a panic attack behind the counter of the campus bar he works at, things start to change.

Summary
David Wymack and Abby Winfield open a refuge and rehabilitation center for injured animal hybrids looking for a place to hide and heal from humans. Neil Josten is battered, bruised, and half dead when he finds him hiding in the woods. It takes a little convincing, but Neil follows him. He just wants to survive.

Satisfied with her appearance, Alana walked up to the door and knocked. A few moments later, it opened. Instead of Hannibal, whom she obviously expected, Will stood in the doorway. She was surprised—his car wasn't even in the driveway.
"Will?" Alana said, shocked that he was here.
"Oh hi, Alana," he greeted, regarding her with mild curiosity.
Will hadn't fully opened the door, still half-standing behind it. He seemed more reserved than usual, not exactly in the way that he was hiding something, but that he intended for this interaction to be short. The observation irritated her.
"What are you doing here, Will?" She asked, trying to keep her tone friendly.

Or, Alana stops by Hannibal's house unannounced for dinner, figuring it would be a great way to get their relationship moving. Only, Will is the one to answer the door.

Affection was a creeping sickness. A dampness in the basement that grew into mold, that spread its arms and legs reaching into everything; slowly covering the whole house, claiming it all for itself. It couldn’t be corralled, it couldn’t be arrested, it had no survivors.
Will could feel it, this creeping thing, slowly making its roots in the back of his mind. He could feel nothing but dread at the thought. At what was to come. Soon he’d be sick with it.
or; Vampire AU except Will is much older and wiser and Hannibal cannot seem to realize this.
