Summary
Meng Yao’s stomach growled, cutting through the soft sounds of the rain and radio. He stiffened, curling up tighter and keeping his eyes locked on the handle to the glovebox. He could feel Nie Mingjue glance at him before he huffed. Meng Yao hadn’t eaten a proper meal in days, only allowed to have what Nie Mingjue gave him when he remembered to feed him.
“Don’t.”
His voice died in his throat, almost tempted to speak up before he stifled it. Meng Yao held back an apology, instead just settling further into the leather seat and tugging the short sleeves of his ditzy calico blouse down and rubbing his arms. He wasn’t even sure what he was told not to do.
Nie Mingjue’s eyes remained on the road after that, his fingers tapping on the steering wheel to the beat of the classic rock song that filtered through the speakers. They had been driving for hours, even longer now that the sun had set.
Or, in which Meng Yao finds himself unable to leave his supposedly ‘stress-free’ break from reality.

Summary
Nie Mingjue released the fabric and grabbed Meng Yao’s wet hair, bending him face down over the edge of the bed. He quickly connected the chain and metal collar with a lock, “do you think I’m gonna fuck you?” He sneered, draping himself over Meng Yao’s back and pressing him into the bed.
Meng Yao sobbed at the restraints, his face being pushed into the furs on the bed, “Nie-zongzhu..” he whined, squirming against him.
Nie Mingjue huffed through his nose and presses close, holding Meng Yao’s hair tight in his fist, “why would I want to fuck you?” he whispered bitterly into his ear, “there’s no telling who’s been inside you.”

Summary
Song Lan had hesitated in reaching for Fuxue, his gaze had dropped to Xing’er before Xue Yang had rushed back indoors. Was this what he had come to? A frightened housewife? Xing’er wiggled in his arms, babbling to herself and her little stuffed cat. It was a grimy little thing; Xue Yang could barely wrestle it out of the toddler's arms to clean it most days. If Song Lan had appeared before Xing’er, Xue Yang wouldn’t have hesitated to draw Jiangzai.
Or rather, maybe domesticity wasn't in the cards for Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen.
