Summary
Lupin dreams too big, too early, and swan dives like Icarus off a too high castle wall and hits the water hard. It ensnares him, mingles with red, and he knows he isn’t going to make it. Knows that he’s crawling to death’s door as he scrambles up the muddy bank with spikes in his back and pins and needles itching along his fingers. He’s miscalculated and now he’s going to pay the price.
Until remarkably he doesn’t.
Or, Arsène Lupin the Third doesn’t stay dead and that’s incredibly useful until it’s not

Summary
Jigen could get rid of Lupin—a quick pull of the trigger and a little bit of clean up, before vanishing into the night without a trace, a weakness eliminated—but the cost seems too high, or perhaps the benefits too low. Besides, Lupin’s good company. A bright—albeit slightly insane—spot in an otherwise dismal world. So Jigen dismisses it. Buries that something he’s feeling in loose dirt and doesn’t shoot.
Someone else does it for him.
Or Lupin gets shot and Jigen comes to the horrifying realization that he cares about something

Summary
Alma’s eyes slide to the figure standing on the outskirts. Watching as he stumbles along with a bucket on his head and chittering rats along his back and shoulders. She watches and realizes, with a pain like ice, that Bruno is someone she doesn’t know anymore.
Oh, she knows the shape of him, the pattern of him, as any mother would. She recognizes the nose of his father, the slouching of his doubts, the muttering of his stories, but it’s like the afterimage of the sun. A once bright light that’s slowly faded to something else entirely. Leaving a stranger stumbling about in her son's body.

Summary
Mei waits to be killed. She lays limp and unmoving in Ling Yao’s arms and waits for the moment he’ll abandon her with the rest of the corpses in the street. It would be justified, she thinks. She was too slow, too weak, and with no proof that he had done it the Yao clan would get away with her murder scot-free.
Or, it’s hard to undo years of distrust, but the journey back to Xing is long and Ling’s made a promise

While these fics all tie together they’re meant to be read, and can be enjoyed, individually. If part 4 catches your eye and not parts 1 to 3 you can totally just read part 4 with no problems what so ever!
Also while I’ve borrowed aspects from the A-Team movie (ie: Mexico, the team meeting at different times, etc) this takes place within the TV show universe
