In the dead silence of a winter night, Arlecchino took in the building once more.
The black glass blocked any outside gaze, the winding road and secluded nature kept out all but the most determined intruders, and the security infrastructure kept out those that made it this far. Add to that the no fly zone and blacked out staff logs and it was obvious you were standing on the grounds of a secret that someone thinks shouldn’t be told.
It was last place that she should be.
For a moment she wondered at the consequences her own organization would hit her with should they find out.
She decided there and then that it was too late to worry about that. She was making her bed, she’d lie in it when the time came.
