The breakup hurt less than expected. What hurt more—in a way Leon is still trying to process—was how quickly Bruce Wayne slid into the empty space she left. Not like a replacement. Like he'd always belonged there.
Now there's a zombie outbreak. Because, of course, there is.
And Bruce? Bruce is annoyingly good at everything. He handles a crisis with the calm of someone who's seen worse—much worse. He throws money at problems like it's nothing, and somehow it works. He's charming, devastatingly handsome and looks at Leon like he's the only person in a dying city worth protecting.
Is it wrong to fall this fast? Leon has no idea. But it feels like the only right thing in the world.

Summary
It is a classic case of being in the right place at the entirely wrong time.
One massive explosion at the end of his most recent mission, and Leon S. Kennedy is no longer a DSO agent—he is a multiversal anomaly with a massive hangover. Gotham City is a strange new world where the monsters wear masks instead of mutations, and the ‘Bat-Man’ is infuriatingly handsome and far too young for Leon’s peace of mind.
He never agreed to watch over Bruce’s wild, wonderful children. He certainly didn’t plan to fall for a man who moves like shadow and smells like leather and rain. But as Leon navigates the trials of being the ‘house-husband’ to a billionaire vigilante, he realises that maybe the grass really is greener in another dimension.

At the Halloween party, Nightwing extended an invitation to Phantom, urging him to bring his daughter, Ellie, along with Cujo, for a play date with Robin.
It proved to be the perfect opportunity for Billy to make his grand debut as Captain Marvel's son.
“What brings you to Gotham, with a ghost dog, no less?”
Phantom floated closer to Red Hood, play-acting as both adult and spokesperson for the group. “I brought the kids for a play date with Nightwing and Robin.”
"Play date?" Red Hood's voice was tinged with amusement.
“Young hero hangout,” Billy corrected.
“Networking,” Ellie said.

While investigating the origins of the mysterious affliction that's decaying Leon from the outside in, he finds his lead in a demented Umbrella researcher who's obsessed with not only the evolutionary prospects of the T-Virus, but also a random F.B.I. Agent with too much anxiety to be surviving the end of the world. Stuck in a mansion disguised as a chronic care center that looks way too much like a certain police department, Leon follows his lead deeper into the Ozarks, unwillingly brought to the beginning of it all.
And at the other side of the building is Chris Redfield, following a lead his team discovered concerning Oswell E. Spencer's final research, and mentions of an ARK. He stumbles across the F.B.I. Agent that he also agrees should not be here, and they work their way through the same manor, hoping to rescue a trapped, blind girl. When Chris is faced with another failure, he finds comfort in being at Leon's side once again, as the call of their mission brings them to the hollowed out corpse of Chris's old home-- Raccoon City.
