Summary
And perhaps it was a culmination of Iruka just being Iruka-- kind, patient, hilariously mean Iruka-- that had Kakashi blurting out the following:
“I love you.”
The words burst forth. Kakashi watched in mute horror as Iruka’s eyebrows began nesting in his hairline, his mouth slightly gaping.
OR, kakashi confesses between some banana stalls and loses his mind.

Summary
Naruto is off training with Jiraiya and Sakura is with Tsunade. Sasuke is...out of the village. And Kakashi is feeling useless and bored, until he comes across an open window--in a ninja village, it's an invitation to go inside and have a look around. But what if he finds something he doesn't like?
(What he finds is a long-abandoned apartment, a computer, and the video diaries of academy teacher, Umino Iruka.)

Summary
It all started with Minato-sensei and a seemingly innocuous comment.
There were always children without parents, who didn't have anyone to make sure Santa visited them for Christmas.
For years, the ninja rotated the task of Santa.
But now everyone who'd ever volunteered had their own families.
Their own houses to keep.
"Children without parents need something to believe in. They need... hope."
