Edward Cullen expects the strange silence of Bella Swan’s mind to be the most interesting thing to happen to him in Forks.
He’s wrong.
When Jacob Black arrives at the school parking lot and imprints on the one person he was supposed to hate, everything changes.
And neither of them is prepared for what happens when the truth finally comes out.

Summary
Fun fact about Peter Grayson-Wayne: that wasn't always his name.
Ever since he was a kid, he's had nightmares he couldn't explain: falling, a city on fire, a woman's hand going cold in his, a promise made over a body of a man he couldn't save. Grief so heavy he could never explain, so ingrained in his heart long before he understood why it was there. He's seventeen before he finds out why. A whole other life, waiting years to be remembered and it's about to cost this family every secret the've ever kept from him.
Or: Twelve years ago, Bruce Wayne carried a five-year-old out of a circus tent and promised him he was safe now. Some ghost don't haunt houses. Some of them just grow up in one, quietly, neglected in plain sight, until they remember exactly who they used to be and every secret the family has tried to bury starts climbing back out with him. Gotham's about to get a hero it never saw coming and the family that spent years deciding what Peter was strong enough to know will find out how much stronger he already was.

Summary
Peter Grayson-Wayne is fourteen years old and, at first glance, an ordinary boy. He goes to school, excels in his advanced classes, walks his dog Ace, and visits the graves of the people he loves every two weeks.
But Peter knows his family harbors secrets. He knows that capes, masks, and late-night wounds mean something—even though he learned long ago that asking questions only leads to consequences.
What Peter doesn't know is that one of his family's biggest secrets has been watching him from the shadows for years.
Until one afternoon, a simple trip to his favorite store ends with Peter fighting for his life and forces someone who never should have come near him to break every rule.
Because there are secrets that can remain hidden for years.
But not forever.
