Yuu never had a welcoming home life, only finding escape from the toxic home through their friends. They never expected escape to come from the old mirror their 'caregivers' had thrown in their room.

She looked down at the note she’d found. For some reason, she hadn’t wanted to share the find with the others. It was so rare to discover a near perfectly-preserved piece of paper, much less one with the ink still staining its pages! She sat down in the farthest corner of the sleeping tent, on her makeshift bed of soft pillows, and began to read.
Based on my working theory that Feather is actually to Celestial Cheese what White Lily is to Dark Enchantress. Trust me, it makes more sense if you check out the AU on Tumblr.

Summary
Three brush strokes to the right. Two to the left. A hand smoothing over his forehead, sweeping his bangs aside.
Shadow Milk knows the pattern well. His hair is always brushed the same way, in movements that seem almost robotic in how perfectly they’ve mastered the repetition. The bristles of the brush always skim over his closed eyes with such care, nimbly avoiding anywhere they might prick or poke. It always ends with a few final touches, tucking any stray wisps back into place before the brush is set back down on the dresser before him.
Pure Vanilla’s hands smooth through Shadow Milk’s hair, coming to rest gently on his shoulders.
“There. Ready for the day?”
Shadow Milk does not answer.
Shadow Milk has not answered in a long, long time.

Summary
Dark Choco is going on a mission to Beast-Yeast. Which meant that he needed to go alone.
So, he does just that. Leaving a letter for each of his friends before vanishing. Asking if they both, Milk Cookie and Purple Yam Cookie, could distribute the letters for those who are south. King Dark Cacao Cookie, Caramel Arrow Cookie, and Crunchy Chip Cookie.
The two accept.
But only one letter contains the specifics of this mission, for a special man's birthday who was coming around soon… The name written in the most perfect cursive the prince could muster.
“Father”.
However, (by accident), this mission was not a gift.
It was a nightmare far beyond what anyone would expect.
