"Decorate the tree? How hard could that possibly be?" Ponyboy said. It didn't seem too hard, before realizing he'd have to take out the tree, get out the ornaments, put the ornaments on the tree, get out the Christmas lights, put the lights on the tree, and finally, find an outlet to plug in the lights. Suddenly it felt a little more difficult than he'd thought.

Summary
Randy Adderson's life was in shambles, Marcia had left him for a greaser, they were still friends sure, but a greaser? Really? And there was the fact he was 99.9% sure his best friend had a crush on him. His parents divorced and since his mom left to California his sister and him had to stay with his dad, and they had yet another argument about Randy coming home late. He didn't understand, his father never cared before so why did he now?
So now he was sat at a curb, wiping his tears and wondering how this all happened when someone spoke up next to him. So now he had this greaser with him, and with that. He had to balance being friends with someone he shouldn't, his family, and The Socs.

It’s the evening of October 31st, now that Ponyboy was 9, his parents decided he could go trick or treating with Johnny who was 11 by themselves so Sodapop and Steve could finally go trick or treating by themselves+ Two-Bit.
But when going around town, Johnny and Pony see Curly and Angela Shepard. Which leads the four to get into some Halloween shenanigans.
