So lucky it's a bag of pastries and not, you know, coffee, because this way he can just apologize and accept the customer's mumbled attempt to wave it off and move on, and nobody suffers any first-degree burns. But it's not his fault, he's just doing his job; the real problem is, workplace distractions are dangerous — probably there's some OSHA shit about that, he could look it up, maybe, for the sake of making his argument — and nothing and no one even half as distracting as the man perusing the self-serve donut case on the back wall has ever walked into Curtis fucking Bakery before.
