    Summary

“Oh, and that time I ran away? From the family that had me before the Jiangs took me in? I got hypothermia.” Wei Ying says all of this with the same easy demeanor that he uses when he tells playground stories about Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, like he’s not discussing trauma. “When you get hypothermia once you’re more susceptible to it in the future, which is a fun side effect.” He shrugs and kisses Lan Zhan’s neck with lips that are still cold but not horribly so. “I just get cold easy now. I’m used to it.”

“Mn,” Lan Zhan says, and means, “We’ll fucking see about that.”

Or: Wei Ying is not allowed to be cold, therefore Lan Zhan must learn to knit.

    Summary

Andrew knew they had to get up at some point, if only for the bathroom, but was loathe to hurry the moment along. He would take every greedy minute of Neil snug in his bed, for as long as he could. It was the choice he’d made years before, and the one he made every day when he saw Neil’s ‘good morning’ smile. He had a feeling it was a choice he’d be making for many years to come. And while that thought should be terrifying, with Neil sweet and content in his arms, fear was far away.

    Doe & Josten: Deductionists

Andrew Doe, rude but brilliant consulting detective, thought he had no need of a partner as he worked slowly away at dismantling the largest crime family in the country, helping out with other cases on the side to relieve the tedium. That was, until a scruffy runaway with a stupid amount of secrets stumbled into his life. Or, more accurately, broke into his kitchen.

    Got My Eyes On You

In which Neil is hot and distracting, Andrew is frustrated, and everyone needs a cold shower.

    Heartlines

The Fae king and queens have gone away, closing the knowes behind them and abandoning their offspring to the mortal world. As the Fae have spread far and wide, their bloodlines thinning if not vanishing forever as they flee from mortal persecution... two Fae have found a way to reopen the knowes - Kayleigh Day and Tetsuji Moriyama. The Fae regroup once more, the balance of power shifted amongst them, and 'changelings' appear now and then in the mortal population.

    *******
An urban fantasy where I throw Fae, necromancy and magic at TFC characters, pretty much!

    The First Breath

Death is presented with an interesting challenge - to live among the humans whom he finds so confusing for a short time. Normally he wouldn't consider such a thing, content to spend his days constantly wandering around while doing his job (and avoiding his father, Destruction), but this time, he's found one human in particular to be of interest so he decides to give it a try, to stay in one place for at least a few days. What can go wrong?

Basically, my take on the Sandman universe with TFC characters.

    Armies

Upon Mary Hatford's death, Nathaniel Wesninski makes the call to his uncle Stuart rather than continuing on the run and ending up in Milport, Nevada.
Upon graduating university, Andrew Minyard turns down all offers of a professional Exy career and muddles through a 'normal' life, until the boredom and inanity of it all wears him down and he accepts an offer of a break to spend some time with his cousin Nicky in Stuttgart, Germany.
There he meets Abram Hatford, a handsome and broken young man who has more in common with Andrew than he suspects, and nothing's normal anymore.

    Higher

After being cursed into dragon form, all Andrew wants is to is to be left alone to laze about in his crumbling lair (okay, stone fortress). Sooner or later his brother and cousin will give up on him, but for the time being - the occasional pesky knight aside - he has the place to himself. At least until a desperate runaway shows up, looking for shelter while trying to escape from a powerful prince he doesn't want to marry. The prince his father has given him to without his consent.

Someone asked for how Neil and dragon!Andrew met, so here you have it.

    Summary

Wei Wuxian is staring up at the sky, thinking idly about the taste of Emperor’s Smile on his tongue, when Suibian jumps full force onto his stomach and cries, “A-Xian, don’t be mad!”

The sheer force of her pounce knocks the breath out of him. The resulting pause is just long enough for Jiang Cheng, who up to this point has been laying rather peacefully next to him, to shoot up and demand, “Oh great, what did you do now?”

To be fair, the question isn’t exactly unwarranted. Suibian looks an absolute mess: twigs stuck in her fur, dirt smeared across the white fluff of her underbelly. She’s panting up a storm, little heh heh heh gasps that haven’t edged into her normal high-pitched laughter. When her ears press back against her head, she could almost pass for pitiful.

    “Bichen hates me.”

Wei Wuxian’s first thought is Why would Lan Zhan’s daemon hate you?, but it’s followed quickly by remembering exactly where he is, how little trouble he’s caused today, and the fact that he hasn’t seen Suibian for a few minutes.

A grin spreads across his face.

(Or: The most important name a cultivator will ever pick isn’t for their sword. It’s for their daemon.)
