“Are you counting?” Rome asks, pulling Raffy’s pants off and tossing them on the floor. Raffy makes a mental note to be repulsed about that later.
“Reminding,” Raffy corrects.

“Boom, I got on a plane this morning because messaging wasn’t enough,” Aou says, suddenly serious. “I…” Aou shrugs. “I missed you. Call me crazy, because I know we barely know each other, really, but there’s something here, I can feel it, and I think you can too.”
Boom opens his mouth to speak, but no words come out. Because the thing is, it’s not crazy. Or, maybe it is, but he doesn’t care, because he’s crazy, too.
“You do, right? Feel it?” Aou’s eyes are wide and hopeful.
“Yeah,” Boom breathes, because why should he lie?

“I wouldn’t have to shush if you would just stay quiet.” Shane twists in Ilya’s hold, turning so his back is pressed against Ilya’s chest. It’s a nice chest, Shane has to admit, truly one of the greats.
“You stay quiet, I am being so quiet. I am basically mouse back here, you’re the loud one always.”

Summary
Not much fazes him about the Cloud Recesses now, except for… well. Except for Lan Zhan, which is frankly irritating because he’s the one thing Wei Wuxian always thought he had figured out. But Lan Zhan at home, Lan Zhan at rest, is a completely different person. He takes his hair out, for one thing, something Wei Wuxian still hasn’t gotten used to.
Lan Zhan looks younger, softer, with his hair down—more like the Lan Zhan Wei Wuxian grew up with, despite never having his hair down back then, either. Wei Wuxian watches Lan Zhan comb through his hair with his fingers, massaging his scalp where his hair pin usually sits, and wonders what it would feel like to run his own fingers through that hair.

Lan Zhan is struck by a curse that brings him intense physical pain unless he's being touched. He is stoic and tries to hide his suffering. Wei Wuxian is worried and protective. Perhaps they will finally admit their feelings?
Wei Ying rolls his eyes. “Heaven forbid they discover the great Hanguang-jun is not invincible. I suppose I’ll just have to keep touching you all night.”
His words hang in the jingshi’s stillness as they stare at each other. Wangji’s heart thumps far too loudly.
Wei Ying laughs awkwardly and smiles with too many teeth in a way that strangely makes Wangji think of chickens.
