Summary
Aslan Callenreese, or as he is known "Ash," and his longtime friend Shorter live in a nice apartment in New York. They have boring jobs and tedious routines, until their new neighbors arrive. Ash finds the Japanese boy that lives across him interesting.
Eiji Okumura has just arrived in New York with his uncle Ibe. They rented a comfortable apartment near the city center. In an almost comical way, Eiji gets to know his neighbors, And he finds the blond boy very handsome, but also intriguing, for some reason.
Furthermore, Sing Soo Ling is a brat, Lee Yut-Lung is incredibly mean, and Alex and his companions Bones and Kong still remember Ash from school (something he hates) and Max likes to make random visits at completely incongruous times.
Or an alternate universe inspired by Friends, with lots of comedy and little suffering.

Summary
He opens the letter further and sees a plane ticket direct from JFK New York to NRT Tokyo. He blows out a trembling breath and closes his eyes. The envelope he is holding nearly slips from his hands.
Good things never came without a price.
He knew this. He had drilled and drilled and drilled this sentiment into his brain during the miserable years of his youth but still let himself yearn for something different each time. He shouldn’t go. Why did he always want more than he deserved? Ash would always be punished for love. Time had taught him that painful lesson repeatedly.
He had made peace with this a long time ago.
And so, Ash basks in the crisp morning air a little longer, rationalizes, and trusts his instincts one more time. I can’t go. It’d only bring you more pain.

Summary
