Summary
When Shaw met Hobbs for the first time, during the whole Toretto mess, it had already been more than half a decade since he’d last Shifted.
He was fine.
And he stayed fine, for years. He was still fine when he got the news that Hattie had injected herself with a deadly super-virus, even if by that point he hadn’t Shifted in nearly a decade.

Summary
“Someone’s upset,” Ouma says. “Weather got you down?”
Momota has to admit that wasn’t far from the truth. The weekend rain had whisked his friends away to some place where they wouldn’t let him follow. The meager light cast through Ouma’s otherwise garish umbrella paints a purple crescent moon over his face. “You seem more like a sunshine person.”

Summary
The Changsha Police Department is well-known for being one of the best violent crime units in their district, but what is less well-known is that their long string of successes is because their forensics officer can talk to ghosts. Or so he claims. Zhang Qishan doesn't know how Ba-ye has tricked everyone else, but he knows Qi Tiezui. His best friend might be brilliant, but he's not able to break through the constraints of reality.
But when a string of murders leads to the CPD thinking that someone is targeting psychics, Zhang Qishan has to confront his uncertainties about the occult—and his uncertainties about his heart.

Summary
They were arguing about something.
He's sure they were.
They were arguing about something, but Juwon can't put his finger on whatever it was. Largely because his fingers are otherwise occupied tangling themselves into Dongsik's hair as he tries to pull him somehow even closer, like he can kiss the man close enough to fuse their bodies.
Dongsik isn't helping matters, what with the way his arms have banded around Juwon's waist, and he's not sure which of them is leading but eventually Dongsik's back hits a wall and there's an audible sigh of relief as he tightens his hold on Juwon, hand creeping up his spine to nudge him yet closer.
They were arguing about something, Juwon remembers.
Han Juwon and Lee Dongsik are in love with each other, this much is obvious. But who realises first? (ft. everybody's POV)

Summary
Juwon breaks himself apart and puts himself back together, then he returns to Manyang thinking he’s found his way home. In part, it’s true. He’s just wrong about one thing—home doesn’t have to be a place. Sometimes, it can exist in a person. And it’s unfortunate, because Dongsik starts feeling a lot like home.

Summary
Bai Yutong is handling it.
Ever since he was fifteen years old and realized that the horrible, sickening, aching feeling he got in his chest whenever he looked at his best friend wasn't a sign of early heart failure but instead a warning of something much worse, he's been handling it perfectly fine. With full maturity and dignity.
He's the head of SCI. He's the best cop of his generation. He's the pinnacle of self-control and an expert at compartmentalization.
But sometimes—Sometimes Zhan Yao doesn't make it easy.
In fact, it's times like these he's convinced Zhan Yao is determined to make his life as difficult as humanly possible.

Lee Christmas trusts Barney Ross with his life. It's the rest of it he has trouble with, these days.
Or: post-Expendables 3, Lee has trouble dealing with how easy it apparently was for Barney to toss the team (mostly him) aside. Nobody at all is happy about this.

Summary
Hobbs didn't think it was a problem that Deckard Shaw had been hit by a witch-curse. That sort of shit happened to everyone. The actual problem was that the curse hadn't been meant for Deckard Shaw at all—it was meant for Owen Shaw, and that was when big brother Deck got slapped with a two-for-one, big-fucking-deal, problematic problem.
Because Owen Shaw didn't do things by half-measures, and neither did the people trying to curse him.

Summary
Anastrophe (noun): a rhetorical device; the inversion of the usual order of words or clauses.
In which Deckard Shaw is good with kids, Samantha Hobbs gets what she wants, Hattie Shaw is always right, and Luke Hobbs is along for the ride. Shaw and Hobbs do everything backwards, and the macho manly idiots would rather take a bullet than admit to having stupid fiddly little things like "feelings."
