Summary
Though Major Crimes’ calmness returned with the captain’s absence, in exchange, Morgan and Adam navigate through how they feel about being separated when Karadec is asked to fill in for Soto as an acting-lieutenant while she’s assigned to be the acting-captain.
With all the incidents she and Adam went through together and individually, it’s become impossible to keep a professional relationship when they mutually have what it takes to bring comfort and security to the other that no one else could give to either of them, not even if they tried.
And when Morgan senses a hint of jealousy in Karadec’s tone in the mention of Wagner kissing her, she mentally fights the gears turning and exploring the possibility of Karadec’s gazes, touches, and caring nature having romantic undertones.
She wasn’t even secure that he viewed their partnership equally, let alone to think what they have is friendship. She cursed her trait of over-analyzing, she knew her feelings were not to be reciprocated.
However, she finds herself in a rabbit hole. Because when she gets tangled up in a kidnapping case, she’s forced to face her relationship issues with the way her partner was in distress after a Morgan-less case.
