The shade of red that Hollander was turning would have almost been comical if it hadn’t been for the deathly stillness that had overcome him. Several emotions flashed across his face in quick succession before he must have realised he was being wayyyyyy too obvious, and he settled on a hard-fought look of confused neutrality.

Scott Hunter is 100,000 years old… Hot though. Since Scott Hunter came out as gay, the people behind the scenes of professional hockey have tried to market the sport as being more LGBT friendly. Their latest strategy is a charity dating event in which fans get to vote for their favourite players to be paired up for a live televised date. So still-in-the-closet rival players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are selected to endure a filmed date for charity – and it’s all Hunter’s fault.

Well-known hockey rivals (and secret… lovers? No, that’s gross) Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are tasked with talking to the press and other media outlets before a Montreal Vs Boston game. Arrogant asshole that he is, Ilya confidently claims that the Raiders will be the nights winners. He’s so confident, he states that if Boston lose to ‘boring slow hockey player with weak backhand’, then he, Ilya Rozanov, will get Hollander’s name tattooed on him (by Shane himself) on live TV.

Cliff Marleau has no idea what happened or what he might have done. Freaked out and panicked, he sneaks into Ilya Rozanov’s hotel room, waking the Russian Captain up and begging for his help. Ilya is genuinely worried Marley might have killed someone and can’t really be bothered to help bury a body at such an ungodly hour. But he follows Marley to his hotel room anyway, shocked, angry and seething with jealous to find Shane Hollander sleeping in his friend’s bed.
