Summary
Coriolanus Snow is in charge of the 16th Hunger Games, and as the architect of the brutal competition, he has designed this edition to his liking, bringing changes to the regulations. It's been a few years since the last time he saw Lucy Gray, and since then, he promised not to get involved with tributes anymore to focus on his plans.
Morpheus Sonnet is the male tribute from District 11, who is dragged to the capital to compete. At first glance, he seems like a perfect candidate to die in the Cornucopia, but Coriolanus discovers more than one surprise hidden beneath the facade of melancholy on his face. As he gets to know him, he sees a long-term project in Morpheus, determined to exploit him and transform him into the ideal companion, helping him reach his maximum potential for the benefit of both. His thirst for power comes first, but unexpectedly, love, once tasteless, makes its presence known, altering his plans and breaking them to secure a place of honor. But first, of course, he must focus on turning him into the ruthless tribute he knows lies at the core of his unbalanced mind.
