Clark types and deletes at least twenty messages to Bruce in those first few months. He wants to share photos of Conner. To complain about the lack of sleep. To tell him how Conner hates tummy time unless he’s on Clark’s chest.
But to open that line of communication would require telling Bruce about the pregnancy, about quitting his job, about shoving the Superman suit in the back of his closet. About Conner’s other parent.
Clark deletes another message, puts his phone on his nightstand, face down and brings Conner to the rocking chair for a little milk before bed.

"Luthor!" Superman exclaims happily.
Lex gets out of his office chair and slowly lifts his head until he meets Superman's eyes. He crosses his arms and walks over to the alien, like he's being pulled by an invisible force, until he stands closer than would be considered appropriate. Part of him wishes he had Kryptonite right now, just to wipe that smile of the alien's face.
Or, Lex Luthor tries to figure out what he wants.
