Summary
In one of many worlds, a young man lives without something most Umamusume never lack of—a dream.
Somehow, he ends up training an entire team of them. His doubts aren’t just his own; fragments of flawed memory and false interpretation of the outside world masquerading as nightmares seem determined to convince him he can’t succeed. Whether he can plant his feet firmly in this strange new tomorrow… well, that’s his race to run.And if that sounds too serious for you, you can still stick around because there’s a lot of Gold Ship nonsense here, enough to fill a Budget or Appropriation Bill.
Update: This became a full-on convoluted philosophical and somewhat deep exploration of established relationships in the Umamusume game and the anime. So be warned!

Summary
Shinku, the “Crimson Devil,” is a weapon without a past. Scarred by imperial experiments that erased his memories and cursed him with agonizing immortality, he is feared by both allies and enemies. His inhuman resilience makes him a legend on the battlefield, but Shinku cares nothing for empires or alliances—only the hollow void inside him. Tormented by the state of being alive yet dead, he seeks the one thing he believes will fill it: courage to face both life and death.
When Shinku crosses paths with Iustitia, a young soldier. Her relentless idealism clashes with his nihilism. Yet her refusal to see him as a monster sparks a dangerous curiosity. As they fight alongside the fractured United Alliance against the Empire’s advancing horrors, Shinku’s journey unravels darker truths—experimental subjects like him, a cataclysmic superweapon, and the faint echoes of a humanity his captors tried to erase.
Will his journey bear fruit, or will it prove to be a foolish escapade? The answer lies within his own determination, as he seeks to forge a path through the chaos and discover what this thing called “living” they preach really means.
