Summary
König was not sure what to expect when the Humvee stopped. He eavesdropped his handlers talking about some "change in custody" and they mentioned a "141 Unit" he never heard of. That hardly mattered though. Crouched down in his crate, still sore from the mission and the heavy hands of his supervisors, König knew that nothing would really change for him: just a set of new rules to learn, teach himself again how his new handlers would be pleased best and how to avoid to be punished too badly. Nothing he has never done before. He just hoped that these new masters will not be crueler than his current ones.
OR In an alternate universe, certain individuals deemed too dangerous or with particular skills or simply criminals are enslaved to the government or specific private or public institution where their abilities can be used "for the greater good". König meets the 141 and the apparently ill-assorted men that are considered the stuff of legend. Is König safe now or will he wait forever for the other shoe to drop? And what's the deal with the terrifying, skull-masked Lieutenant?
