Summary
Midoriya Izuku knows teachers are all the same. He had wanted so, so badly for Sensei to be different. He had always admired Eraserhead as a pro hero, and then Sensei had saved his life. And, yes, he was strict, but so much nicer than any teacher before.
But he was still a teacher. And Izuku was still a quirkless, useless freak who didn’t deserve any of this. Not for free, at least.
He thought he’d never have to go back. But he would, for his dream.

Aizawa Shouta knows something's wrong with his problem child. Recklessness, lack of trust, and all the broken bones from a quirk the kid couldn't control. None of it made sense. And what finally tipped Aizawa over the edge was the most recent test results. His number one problem child kept missing questions Aizawa knows he should be getting correct. It was about time the underground hero got some answers from his student.

Summary
Izuku inherited his parents’ quirks, but he swore he’d never use his fire.
He knows first hand how—bright, burning, scorching, painful, terrifying, destructive—it is, after all, and Izuku promised (promised his crying mother, promised his burning self, promised the laughing memory of his father) that he’d become a hero who stops that kind of despair.
Even if he has to burn his own wings to do so.
But when someone with the exact same problems, fears, and pain shows up... Izuku can't help but try to heal them. And in doing so, he himself may be healed too.

Summary
About a week after that, All Might asked Izuku if he was aiming for the hero course at UA. The question was so sudden that Izuku nearly dropped a microwave on his toes.
The truth was, if All Might had asked him that a week ago, there would have only been one possible answer to that question. All Might had gone to UA, UA was the best, so Izuku was going to go there too, if he could. But things were a little different, now that he was going to receive All Might’s Quirk.
“No,” he said, decisively.
All Might looked caught off guard, which was a very rare expression on him. “No?” he echoed, like he couldn’t believe it.
A laugh bubbled out of Izuku’s throat. He honestly couldn’t believe it either. “No,” he repeated.

Or, All Might tells Izuku about All for One before he gives him One for All, and everything changes.

Summary
“A few,” Ochako gasps for air, “behind. Us.” They run down another two blocks before Izuku makes another left. It’s a dead end. Izuku pulls his gun out, but before the infected get to them, they drop, one after another. Dead. Before Izuku can look up, a door opens to their right, and a voice yells, “get the fuck in. before they see you.”
They run in, the door slamming shut behind them and the lock turning. Izuku turns, gun aiming straight at the person who let them in. He’s panting, chest heaving as he struggles to catch his breath, arms shaking from running and the weight of the gun he’s holding. Adrenaline is still pumping through his veins and his brain can’t fully process the fact that they’re alive. The lack of light in the room makes it hard to see the person standing in front of the door, but Izuku can faintly make out spiky blonde hair. Before he can say anything, he hears Mina gasp from behind him.
“You’re late, Deku. Now drop the fucking gun,” a familiar voice snarls. Izuku’s knees shake as he slowly moves the gun down and comes face to face with the same red eyes and blonde hair he’s spent half his life dreaming about.
“Kacchan.”
