Summary
After Caine returns and normalcy moves into the Amazing Digital Circus for the first time, the humans (and Artificial Intelligences) grapple with their feelings about those they lost. The friends and frenemies who couldn't cope with the strain of this digital world and fell into themselves, and the memories (and giant lovecraftian horrors) they left behind.
But as time passes and tender gestures are exchanged, what was thought to be only one-sided consolation for those who grieve slowly seeps into the inky abyss of the final abstraction. Somewhere in there, a little chicken fetus might one day be ready to break out of her shell.

Summary
Jax recieves some help from her new girlfriend in conjuring something a little more than a blank chest, but she thinks she isn't ready for the bottom half just yet. That's okay--Pomni will find a way to make her feel good, even with nothing there.
Or: Pomni gives Jax a good time (and a first time!), and Jax repays the favour. She has never loved somebody like this before.

Sex can be a very intimate thing. It's a dangerous prospect for a relationship that was already complicated. And "complicated" doesn't even begin to cover this specific relationship.Naturally, navigating the emotional danger of it all has been taking up Jax's attention. But she really should have put some thought into how the hell they'll actually do it.
