“It’s simple.” Homura pointed to the soul gem currently embedded in Sayaka’s navel. “If you cannot be trusted to purify your soul gem routinely, which I know to be the case, then I must ensure your soul gem stays clean myself.”
Sayaka halted for a moment, processing the words. “What are you saying, transfer student?” She crossed her arms over her chest, huffing quietly.
“I am saying, you will give me your soul gem.”

Homura puts Sayaka under non-consensual protective custody, and Sayaka is confronted with several harsh realities in the span of two days.
She takes it surprisingly well.
