Summary
Nine years have passed since the Daxy, a species of matriarchal reptiles, conquered Earth, and Miles Penn is facing Assignment as all young men must. When the Colonel who singlehandedly defeated humanity takes an interest in him as a prospective mate, Miles resists for the first time in his life.
