Summary
When Damian Wayne-Al Ghul was 10, his mother sent him to train underneath the Batman -- his father. He is the sole son of the Bat, and heir to the Demons Head. He grows up alone, struggling to carve his place in a new life, and get his fathers attention away from his work. He wants to impress his mother, to be good enough for his father, to earn his place. But is that what he wants? Where does Damian turn when he doesn't know what he's fighting for anymore?
Who does Damian grow up to be without the guidance of his family? Then -- what comes next? A girl just like him, made for a purpose with blood on her hands. A boy stuck in his fathers shadow, and the team they make together. Hundreds of people hurting, and how Damian find a way to help them.
Wayne or Ah Ghul, either way he's going to be a hero.

DR. THOMPKINS:
(sighs) Yeah. She did.

DR. THOMPKINS:
She asked about you. About how you’re doing.
STEPHANIE:
(tightens her grip on the pen) Did she? Or was she just making sure—
DR. THOMPKINS:
(interrupting) She cares for you.
Discouraged and feeling unappreciated, Steph leaves the mask life behind to continue her life. She pursues a nursing degree like her mom, and is working in Dr. Thompkins's clinic.
She didn't think anyone missed her, but then Cass comes searching for her to apologize. And Steph can never turn away from Cass.
