Summary
“Nah, man, I’m all in. That’s the point of this, right? To give you an authentic experience?” Buck reaches behind himself, grabbing his shirt by the collar and pulling it over his head. Eddie is certainly not unfamiliar with the muscled planes of Buck’s torso, from his full pecs, to the heft of his shoulders, to his tantalizingly biteable stomach, but the private setting and the explicit permission to look make him dizzy with desire. As Buck had mentioned before, seeing each other in various stages of undress is a hazard of the job, but Eddie’s never been invited to look by either Buck himself or by his own psyche. Today is very different.
Oh, god. Eddie feels arousal twist hotly deep in his stomach, and he’s suddenly very grateful for how his sketchbook obscures his lap. He can’t watch Buck strip for him – abort mission, abort mission –
Eddie's new therapist encourages him to revisit an old hobby. After rediscovering his love of drawing, he somehow winds up accepting Buck's offer to nude model for his art.

Summary
Buck’s hair is gray at the temples, buzzed neatly on the sides and a bit longer and curlier on top than Chris remembers him wearing it, and there’s a new scar through one of his eyebrows. He looks good, like he’s living a happy life, and the only possible reason Chris can imagine for Buck to be here at Helena Diaz’s funeral in El Paso is that Chris’s father brought him.
“Why would you come?” Chris snaps at him.
Buck blinks. “Why wouldn’t I come?”
“She didn’t mean anything to you.”
“I’m not here for her,” Buck scoffs. “She is dead. I’m here for him.”
or
Chris is forced to grapple with the choice he made eleven years ago when his father comes back for Helena’s funeral.

Summary
"Okay, so this was the only box I could find," he said, stepping up into the the rig and placing the box down on the gurney.
"Thanks, I'll get to those in a minute," Eddie replied.
"I'm already here, might as well help out. It's the right door, right?"
"Yeah, but just make sure—"
Eddie heard the clicking noise of the door shutting before he was able to finish his sentence.
...
Buck and Eddie get stuck in an ambulance together during a thunderstorm, and conversations ensue.
