Summary
Standing on her stoop is the last person in the world that Helena expected to see. Judging by the woman’s hunched shoulders and darting eyes, she surmises that the front step of the Eagan estate is also the last place Gemma Scout expected to find herself. “What are you doing here?” Gemma doesn’t answer right away. Her face clouds with confusion. Perhaps she doesn’t know the answer herself.
Lost in the fog of reintegration, Gemma and Helena become anchors for each other.

Summary
Mark was used to strange things happening to his body. Some days, he woke up in the elevator with red, damp eyes and a runny nose. Sure, it was annoying, but it beat the days that started with a pounding headache, a dry tongue, and a sour taste in his mouth.
None of that prepared him for this new batch of symptoms, though. Sweaty palms. Racing heart. Flushed cheeks. Inability to focus.
While he couldn’t figure out the solution to his problems, he was pretty sure he had pinpointed the cause.
Helly.
Mark has a crush and thinks he's dying.

Summary
“Hey, do you want me to, like, describe…what happened? Like, I feel like you have every right-”
She nods, breaking eye contact with him, her unfocused gaze drifting over his chest. He waits for her to speak. “I want to know…I want to know what she…what you did to my body.”
Mark describes what happened in Helena's tent, with much stuttering and abuse of ellipses.

Summary
She had known this was coming. For days she had known. She had seen it in the tension in Angel’s shoulders, in the short, irritated phrases he uttered, in the unusual viciousness with which he killed. She had learned over time not to push him when he was like this. When he was ready for his release, he would take it. And tonight he was ready.
Sometimes Angel needs a release for his urges.

Summary
Buffy knew she wasn't the best communicator. It had taken her many pointless fights and a few failed relationships to admit this to herself, but there it was. She was pretty sure Angel knew how much she loved him, and how grateful she was that they had found each other again, against all odds and prophecies. Still, every time she was about to spill over with a big confession, she found herself swallowing it.
Sex was a particular problem. Not that she had much to complain about when it came to Angel's sexual performance, oh no. He had given her more orgasms than she had thought one person could safely survive. No complaints there. It wasn't about what they were doing; it was about what they weren't doing.
Set post-series. Buffy and Angel start to explore their boundaries, bringing their relationship to a new level.

Through her tears, she saw Helly smile.
“No.”
(After centuries of solitude, Helena turns Helly into a vampire to keep her as a companion forever)

Summary
“If someone doesn’t take her home… she’ll be decommissioned.”
Mark inhales. He’s a guy who knows a thing or two about how it feels to be headed for the scrap heap.
Irving claps him on the shoulder.
“If it helps, Burt said they’ve taken to calling her Helly.”
The moment that Mark hears the lost, destitute, human-shaped thing has a name, he’s lost the battle.
Ah, fuck it.
”I’ll take her.”

Summary
Now that it’s right in front of her, Helly can’t ask for it. She’s imagined this before. Idly at her desk, she’d steal glances at him across the divider, watch him chew his lip as he worked, and concoct some fantasy where the perfect set of circumstances lined up so that they could be alone together. She imagined that Mark might kiss her fiercely, might push her up against the wall of the bathroom or the storage closet and touch her bare skin. But she doesn’t feel like she has the words.
