It’s Alumni Weekend at Carl’s Alma Mater, and he plans to surprise Bea with tickets to the Alumni Bar Crawl. When Carl finds out Bea cheated on him, however, he’s quick to cancel plans. Unfortunately, he forgot to cancel with the babysitter, and he is talked into going to the bar crawl alone.
Everything goes smoothly until he winds up sitting next to his grumpy former mycology professor at the first bar, and he accidentally bites off more than he can chew. -

Summary
The dungeon's over, and the AI assumes his help rebuilding Earth will bring him and Carl closer. But, to his dismay, Carl still blames him for all the suffering the dungeon caused. It doesn't matter what the AI does, he can't seem to get Carl to see him as anything other than an enemy.
In desperation he hatches a plan, something he thinks Carl won't be able to ignore. However, like everything else he's tried, it spectacularly backfires. Instead of Carl learning more about who the AI is, the AI learns more about what it means to be human than he ever wanted to know. -

Post-Dungeon Carl, ripped straight from his home in a distant future that has not yet come to pass with his small family after his own Crawl. He is confused, but desperate to keep Mordecai and his party safe until the end of Faction Wars.
