Summary
Very short drabbles about Bastion. Like, VERY.
I don't think of Bastion as the simple child most people paint them as. I think that they experienced part of the war. They probably have killed humans. While they may be more docile now, it does not mean that they were always so innocent, nor should they be expected to be a simple sweet bot for everyone to lavish their cutesy feelings upon. This fic is supposed to be about Bastion struggling to cope in a world that was better off without them.

Alex hates Sebastian – which is great because Sebastian more than returns the favour – and what starts out as revenge fantasy turns into unironic lust, which evolves into unrequited love. Alex gets a job, Sebastian marries the farmer, and both of them lose almost everything before finding each other again. A story of two mutual bullies who learn how to messily grow up.

After a while of just being post apocalyptic people just eventually have relationship drama and, you know, space pirates and the ever present threat of death. Normal young adult things, you know?
Alternatively a vague meditation on why relationships end and why obsessing over things isn't a great idea.

An Alternate Universe is a fictional device wherein characters are taken from their 'canon' setting and placed into a different one, such as, say... a magical university.
Or: In which Karkat Vantas finally gets to leave his miserable life behind to attend the prestigious Salem University for magical studies. Finally he can make friends, learn things, hopefully work out just what species he is. And Karkat Vantas being who he is there might be a romance or two on the cards.

You'd seen trolls on television and YouTube, they were popular exotic pets with celebrities. Certain breeds were even useful for guide pets and companion animals for the elderly.
