Summary
Prohibition Era, Ebott City: A place where humans and monsters have always existed together with a strained and somewhat fragile peace. Most of the city’s denizens simply want to live out their daily lives in a simple cohabitation. Life, however is rarely so easy. There are five large gangs within the city limits, one of the more powerful ones being made up completely of monsters. The balance of power between the four human mafia gangs and the monster mob is delicate, spurring racism and acts of violence from both sides.
Frisk, the younger sister of infamous detective Chara Dreemurr, receives an anonymous call with clues to the case against her older brother’s sudden mysterious disappearance. Unable to obtain police assistance, she takes up her brother’s mantle and plunges into the seedy underbelly of Ebott City’s criminal organizations. Each new piece of information only brings about more questions as the web of confusion and deceit is spun around her. Who can she trust in this dangerous game? Will she find Chara before it’s too late or will she become hopelessly entangled in the sinister lifestyles of the mob? -

This fanfic is a continuation of the classic FFVII sequel fic, Sink to the Bottom With You, written by Catalina between 2000 and 2007. The original story abruptly cut off at its 40th chapter, and will seemingly never be finished, so I wanted to try my hand at giving it an ending. It's based on concepts Catalina wrote about in an old email where she went over how it was going to end, as well as my own ideas about things. In this story, AVALANCHE must once again save the world from a new threat, a mysterious faction that worships an ancient subterranean god that will someday consume the Planet. They must work with the enigmatic Titus, a mysterious man who was once high priest of the faction, in order to put a stop to their plans. Yuffie must uncover the truth of her bloodline and Vincent must accept the darker part of himself if they are to save the Planet.
